The Country Land and
Business Association (CLA)
The Agricultural Bill
The Agricultural Bill sets out how farmers and land managers will in future be paid for ?public goods?, such as better air and water quality, improved soil health, higher animal welfare standards, public access to the countryside and measures to reduce flooding. Rockscape can help farmers meet these requirements to create revenue and improve the environment.
Rockscape also offers Maize Growing Contracts for local farmers to supply feedstock to our AD facility. Maize is also an important part of our balanced crop rotation providing a useful tool for weed control, especially against Resistant Blackgrass, it grows well on some of our less productive lighter soils and helps to spread the workload throughout the year as it is a spring crop.
